JIPMER

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823. This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India. This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).

EXAM PATTERN JIPMER MBBS EXAM

Mode of exam: Online Number of questions: 200 Type of questions: Multiple Choice Based Language: English and Hindi Marking scheme: 4 marks for the right answer, 0 for negative marking Candidates are required to solve all the questions. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes and will be conducted in two shifts- forenoon and afternoon sessions. The distribution of question and marks in the exam was as follows:

The booklet of JIPMER MBBS would be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Boards as well as CBSE syllabus for Grade 11 and 12.

ELIGIBILITY

• Applicants must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC/OPH (reserved)).AIIMS Bhopal.
• Examinees must be an Indian national
• OCI and NRI are most eligible to apply.
• Candidate must have completed 17 years at the time of getting admitted. No restriction on age for reserved categories.
• OPH candidates are required to score minimum 45% in the required subjects.

SYLLABUS

The syllabus for MBBS entrance examination would be as per the syllabus prescribed by State Board Higher Secondary and CBSE for Grade 11 and 12. The questions would be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Logic and Quantitative reasoning, English comprehension.
